Engr Fahad Haider is currently based in Australia working as an Energy Consultant.

He completed various RE and climate consultancy projects like solar mini-grids, battery system and so on for development partners such as the World Bank, JICA, UNDP, etc. and have been fortunate to work with a Nobel Prize winner and world’s top climate scientists. He worked as a Renewable Energy Educator, emphasising the need for more trained workers in the Energy field. He initiated humanitarian projects in Bangladesh empowering rural, underprivileged schools with solar and low energy computers, which was presented in three international conferences (including in Istanbul) and wrote an academic paper as well. He has also helped a company in Uganda incorporate solar for manufacturing clean cooking fuel (biopellets), and is organizing a climate-based webinar in Australia with other climate leaders.

Fahad is a Global Climate Ambassador for a World Bank Group Youth2Youth Climate Program, an Al Sharq Fellow and was a “Global Talent” for an Innovation Lab in India by UNLEASH, a Danish NGO. He completed his Masters in Renewable Energy from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in 2019 and Bachelors in Electronics Engineering from Macquarie University (as a full scholarship recipient) in 2013.
